About the work: "And Then x 6 (Vermilion: The Superflat Method), 2013 focuses on Mr. DOB, Murakami's elastic alter ego between mascot, monster, and logo. It reads cleanly at first glance, then starts to feel more layered once the faces, signs, and color fields press together."
