About the work: "My arms and legs rot off and though my blood rushes forth, the tranquility of my heart shall be prized above all., 2007 focuses on Murakami's Superflat world of anime, painting, commerce, and Japanese visual history. The image keeps its polish, but the best detail is how quickly the surface becomes crowded and strange."
