About the work: "Korin Flowers, 2026 sets Murakami's expressive flower faces against a gold ground crossed by a dark, patterned stream. The composition follows Ogata Korin's late 17th- or early 18th-century fan painting of chrysanthemums and a brook, but Murakami replaces its white blossoms with his own multicolored flowers."
