TENGAone

Japanese, b. 1977

TENGAone, the Tokyo-based street artist born in 1977, adopted his alias from the Japanese concept of "Ga ga Tenshoku (TenGa)," which translates to "Art is My Calling." Growing up near an American military base, he was inspired by American-style graffiti and began creating his own at the age of 14. In 2007, he transitioned into an official art career, working in street graffiti, murals, sculpture, and graphic design, with his work also featured in contemporary galleries and art fairs.
