About the work: "Shitakawara-yaki Aomori Dog, 2023 turns Nara's monumental Aomori Dog into a small handmade clay figure from Hirosaki's Shitakawara-yaki tradition. The object is quiet and reduced, just a white body and narrow eyes, but it carries one of the artist's most public motifs."
