About the work: "Shitakawara-yaki Miss Forest, 2023 adapts Nara's Miss Forest / Mori no Ko motif into a handmade Hirosaki clay doll, issued through the Aomori Museum of Art's 2023 exhibition program. The pale green tiered form keeps the forest-child silhouette, while the folk-craft scale makes it intimate."
