Suzuki Harunobu was a pioneering ukiyo-e artist celebrated for producing the first full-color woodblock prints (nishiki-e). His delicate depictions of courtesans, poetry, and daily life combined refinement, subtle humor, and poetic elegance, marking a turning point in the evolution of Japanese printmaking.
